The product, designed as a 2-way or bi-directional flowing butterfly valve, flaunts a 14-inch measurement size. Its construction incorporates a flanged and polyester-coated cast iron body capable of weathering various environmental conditions such as chemical exposure, ultraviolet rays, abrasions, and physical impacts. It is designed with a Cv of 3384 at a 60-degree stroke and 10538 at a 90-degree stroke.
The resilient seat of the valve is crafted from peroxide-cured EPDM, while its stem is constructed of 416 stainless steel, engineered to close tolerances. This attention to detail ensures an internal double-D disk connection that leaves no point susceptible to corrosion.
Likewise, the valve features cast iron disks, coated in Nylon 11, that offer resistance to corrosion, reduced friction, and allow the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes. This feature amalgamated with the valve's extended neck allows for an added 2 inches of pipe insulation.
The butterfly valves in this series range in size from 2 to 20 inches, offering compatibility with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. Of note, this valve ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off and is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions with an equal percentage flow characteristic.
As for its technical specifications, the valve can withstand a close-off pressure of 150 psi and has an operating temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), broadening its utility and durability in diverse industrial and commercial environments.
