The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 12-inch valve featuring a flanged structure with a polyester coated cast iron body. With operational capacities of 2563 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and 8077 Cv at a 90-degree stroke, it proves optimal and versatile in functionality. The valve seat is resiliently made from peroxide-cured EPDM, while the stem is crafted from 416 stainless steel for enhanced durability.
This control device caters to a variety of pipe sizes, accommodating those from 2 to 20 inches, and comes equipped with ANSI Class 125/150 Lug pipe connections. Notably, it supports bi-directional flow for improved control operation. Its design includes an extended neck that accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. The Butterfly Valve also utilizes nylon 11 coated, cast-iron disks which uphold corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and allows for the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The resistant cast iron valve body is polyester-coated to protect against weather, chemicals, ultraviolet exposure, abrasion, and impact. The stainless-steel valve stem features a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, eliminating points for corrosion access. Additionally, it ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
The Butterfly Valve is designed to service hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, which symbolizes its functional versatility. It has an equal percentage flow characteristic, a substantial operating temperature range from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and can effectively handle close-off pressure of 175 psi. This intricate blend of key technical details makes the Honeywell Butterfly Valve a crucial component in industrial automation and control systems.
