This 12-inch Two-Way Butterfly Valve sports a flanged design, capable of producing high Cv values of 2563 at a 60-degree stroke and 8077 at a 90-degree stroke. The body of the valve is made of cast iron that is coated with polyester, providing it excellent resistance against chemical and weather-correlated degradation, UV damage, abrasions, and impact. The resilient seat is manufactured from peroxide-cured EPDM to provide strong, long-lasting performance.
The valve's stem is crafted from 416-grade stainless steel, purposefully designed with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, substantially minimizing potential points for corrosion access. Its bi-directional flow feature comes with different sizes, ranging from 2 to 20 inches. In particular, the valve finds compatibility with ANSI class 125/150 lug pipe connections.
For further protection against environmental influences, the disks of the valve are made from nylon 11 coated cast iron, which ensures corrosion resistance, reduces friction, and facilitates use of lower-torque actuators with larger-valve-body sizes. The valve has an extended neck that accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. Moreover, it is designed with bubble tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
As for technical specifications, the valve possesses an equal percentage flow characteristic and can service hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. The operating temperature range is a broad -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and it possesses a close-off pressure of 175 psi.
