The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way device with a 10-inch interface. This robust device defines power and efficiency, featuring a Cv of 1710 at a 60-degree stroke and 5430 at a 90-degree stroke. Its body is made from a sturdy poly coated cast-iron that offers endurance and strength. The valve displays a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a sturdy 416 stainless steel stem that ensures long-lasting performance.
Notably, the device comes in varied sizes, ranging from 2 to 20 inches, and fits ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections perfectly. It benefits from a bi-directional flow and features an extended neck that accommodates up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. Its disks are crafted from nylon 11 coated, cast iron for superb corrosion resistance and reduced friction. This feature allows for the use of lower torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The valve’s cast iron body is coated with polyester to reinforce resistance against weather, chemical, ultra-violet rays, abrasion, and impact. The stainless steel valve stem is built with close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection and void of corrosion access points. Special attention has been given to creating a valve design that promises bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
This Honeywell creation caters to hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions ideally. The valve’s flow characteristic follows an equal percentage and it operates optimally at a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). Its close-off pressure stands strong at 175 psi, affirming its superb technical specifications. With this butterfly valve, reliability and efficiency are assured in all your industrial automation and control systems.
