The IC755CBS15CDA is a 15-inch QuickPanel operator interface developed by GE Fanuc, designed to deliver maximum flexibility in industrial automation. This all-in-one microcomputer integrates a high-resolution touchscreen interface with extensive communication capabilities, including one 10/100BaseT Ethernet port, an RS-232 UART serial port, two USB 2.0 host ports, and a mini USB 2.0 device port, enabling connectivity with a wide range of industrial equipment. The device is equipped with 512MB of dynamic RAM, with part allocated to the Windows operating system and the remainder divided between an object store function for file storage and main memory for program execution. Programs are compressed and stored in flash memory, then expanded into DRAM for operation; however, data in DRAM does not persist through power cycles. The IC755CBS15CDA features tri-colored LED status indicators and an onboard buzzer for audio notifications, as well as two LED indicators associated with the Ethernet port. Upon receipt, the unit requires simple configuration steps before being powered up via a quick-connect plug linked to a DC power supply. Depending on application requirements, optional input devices, communication ports, and expansion adapters may be connected. The interface is enhanced by a 7-inch LED-backlit touchscreen display utilizing capacitive technology for precise two-point touch tracking, allowing for smooth scrolling without the need for physical pressure. Users can adjust brightness and backlight operation through an intuitive control panel.
