The IC694BEM321 is a master controller module within the PACSystems RX3i platform, designed to facilitate I/O Link communications with up to 16 slave devices. Acting as a master in GE's proprietary I/O Link configuration, this module can handle 1,024 discrete inputs and 1,024 discrete outputs, making it a vital component for robust industrial automation systems. It can be installed in any I/O slot within the RX3i or Series 90-30 systems; however, optimal performance is achieved by placing it in the main or expansion backplane. The maximum number of I/O links supported is contingent upon the available power supply. For systems with multiple I/O Link master modules, it is essential that they are allocated to separate I/O links to ensure proper functionality. The module is equipped with a replaceable fuse for the +5 volt signal pins utilized by the Optical Adapter cable; a 0.5A fast-blow fuse can be used as a replacement if necessary.
