The GE Fanuc Motion Mate Digital Servo Module IC693DSM314 is an advanced motion control module designed for the Series 90-30 platform, facilitating precise control of digital and analog servos in industrial applications. It operates in two modes: digital mode for compatibility with digital servos, and analog mode for managing servos that utilize analog command input. This module is compatible with 90-30 CPUs that have firmware release 10.0 or newer, excluding those with part numbers ending in CPU311 through CPU341 and CPU351. The IC693DSM314 supports the storage of up to 10 programs and 40 subroutines, which can be created using VersaPro software version 1.1 or higher.

Key features of the IC693DSM314 include a block processing time of less than 5 milliseconds, automatic data transfer between PLC tables and the module without requiring user programming, and home and overtravel switch inputs for each servo axis. It also supports user-defined scaling of programming units in both standard and follower modes, alongside velocity feed forward and position error integrator mechanisms to enhance tracking performance. The module includes incremental quadrature encoder inputs for each axis, ensuring high precision in encoder/analog modes.

In addition to its programming capabilities, the IC693DSM314 features multiple I/O options, including 5V, 24V, and analog channels for PLC use, high-speed digital outputs (four each for 24V and 5V), and a 13-bit Analog Output that can be controlled by the PLC or utilized as a digital servo tuning monitor. The programming and configuration tasks are consolidated into a single connection through the programming communications port, facilitating the transfer of all motion programs and local logic configurations via the PLC backplane. Firmware updates are conducted through the front-panel COMM port, while the module supports GE Fanuc α and β Series Digital servos, SL-series servos, and third-party servos with analog velocity or torque command interfaces. The inclusion of Position Capture Strobe Inputs for each axis permits the accurate capture of axis and master positions with a precision of ±2 counts plus a variance of 10 microseconds. The operating temperature range for this module is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, while it can withstand storage temperatures between -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
