The GE Fanuc IC693CHS393 is a 10-slot remote baseplate designed for the Series 90-30 PLC system, serving as an expansion solution to enhance I/O capabilities. This remote baseplate must be connected to a CPU, which can be either a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a personal computer fitted with a Personal Computer Interface Card, as it cannot function as a stand-alone unit. Users should note that the total cable length linking remote baseplates should not exceed 700 feet to maintain system integrity. The IC693CHS393 incorporates built-in isolation between the +5 volt logic supply of the I/O modules and the interface circuit's supply associated with the I/O Bus Expansion Interface. This isolation is crucial for mitigating issues arising from unbalanced ground conditions. The allowable number of remote baseplates is determined by the CPU type; a maximum of four can be connected to CPUs 331, 340, and 341, while CPUs 350 and higher can support up to seven.
