The GE Fanuc IC693CHS391 is an expansion baseplate designed to enhance the functionality of the Series 90-30 control system. This unit features ten slots, with a uniquely sized slot at the left end of the baseplate designated specifically for a power supply module, ensuring compatibility and proper connections. The baseplate must be connected to the CPU in the first slot, labeled CPU/1, as only one CPU baseplate is permitted per system. If additional baseplates are necessary, they must be designated as either Remote or Expansion baseplates, limited to a specific maximum number depending on the CPU model in use. The IC693CHS391 allows for connection of option or I/O modules starting from slot number two. A 25-pin female connector at the right end facilitates the linking of Remote or Expansion baseplates, both of which must connect to a CPU. Maximum configurations allow for four baseplates with CPUs 341, 340, or 331, and up to seven with CPU 350, while maintaining distance constraints for remote baseplates at under 700 feet and 50 feet for Expansion and CPU baseplates. The IC693CHS391 supports a DIP switch setup for configuration.
