The IC693BEM340 is a rack-mounted Factory Instrumentation Protocol (FIP) Bus Controller Module from GE Fanuc, designed for use with the Series 90-30 control system. This intelligent module establishes a robust interface between the Series 90-30 I/O network and the Series 90-30 PLC, facilitating seamless integration by easily plugging into the PLC’s backplane. The FIP protocol is primarily utilized for managing I/O operations, while also enabling the storage of configuration data for remote devices and the reporting of faults.
