The GE Fanuc IC660BBS100 is an advanced isolated I/O block designed for industrial automation applications, providing eight circuits organized into four isolated groups, each containing two circuits. This block operates with a voltage rating of 115 VAC or 125 VDC and supports a maximum current of 2 Amps. It is engineered to withstand isolation levels of 250 VAC/VDC between circuits, ensuring robust separation for enhanced reliability. Integral electronic fusing protects each output circuit, shutting down in the event of a short circuit within five microseconds, while allowing for easy reset through the CPU or a handheld monitor.

The IC660BBS100 performs a range of diagnostic checks, including monitoring for unexpected shutdowns, power overloads, absence of load, and over-temperature conditions. This flexibility allows for configuration as input-only, output-only, or a combination of both. Each circuit is equipped with an LED indicator that provides real-time status for input voltage thresholds or output modes as designated by the CPU. Notable features include bus switching control, dual power circuitry for both AC and DC, selectable input filter times ranging from 10 ms to 100 ms, output pulse testing capabilities, and provisions for CPU redundancy.

Field wiring is simplified with standard screw connections, accommodating 1 AWG size #12 or two AWG #22 wires, as well as ring terminals with an opening of at least size #6 and a width up to 0.27 inches. The IC660BBS100 is fully compatible with various GE Fanuc bus controllers and supports handheld monitors, specifically models IC660HHM501 and IC660HHM500. With a heat dissipation of 16.8 watts and an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, this block weighs approximately 4 pounds.
