The IC200PWB001 is a booster carrier from GE's VersaMax series, engineered to facilitate the integration of an additional power supply along with extra module carriers. When an external power supply is mounted on this booster carrier, it supplies power to all I/O modules positioned to the right or up to the next booster power source. This device effectively shares power between the existing AC or DC supply from the CPU or Network Interface Unit (NIU) and the additional power source connected to the IC200PWB001. The carrier is equipped with two status LEDs: the PWR LED verifies the operational status of the attached booster supply, while the OK LED confirms that both the CPU or NIU and the booster power supply are functioning correctly. For installation, the IC200PWB001 mounts securely onto a standard DIN rail, which must be grounded to ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) protection. The compatible DIN rail measures 7.5mm x 35mm and allows for easy snap-on installation. When utilizing the power supply booster carrier, it occupies a compartment depth of 70mm, with the requirement that the rail finish remain unpainted to enhance resistance. For specific applications requiring enhanced durability against mechanical vibration and shock, panel mounting is recommended. To remove the IC200PWB001, users must detach it from the DIN rail by first removing any securing screws and adjacent carriers if necessary, adjusting the latch tab outward to facilitate proper extraction.
