GE Fanuc IC200PBI001

The IC200PBI001 is a Profibus-DP Network Interface Unit (NIU) specifically designed for use with the GE Fanuc VersaMax Series. Operating as a slave device within a Profibus-DP network, this module efficiently manages a network of I/O modules and connects to a power supply installed directly onto the NIU. The IC200PBI001 supports network addresses ranging from 1 to 125 and features an auto-detecting data rate from 9.6 Kbaud to 12 Mbaud. It can handle a maximum of 375 bytes of I/O data, with the capacity for up to 244 bytes of inputs or outputs, thereby allowing control of 64 I/O modules per unit. This unit is equipped with five LED indicators that provide real-time monitoring of the power and operational status of the NIU. The PWR LED denotes power status in green when active, while the OK LED indicates functional firmware also in green. An amber FAULT LED signals detection of an internal fault or issue with an I/O module. The NETWORK LED's color varies: green indicates successful data transfer, amber shows a configuration rejection by the master device, and off signifies a lack of communication with the master. The FORCE LED illuminates to indicate any active forced I/O values. Notably, the IC200PBI001 is compatible with all VersaMax High-Density Analog Modules, enhancing its utility in advanced industrial applications.
