The IC200MDL240 is a VersaMax AC Input Module designed for applications requiring positive logic or sourcing type inputs. This module channels current from AC input devices to return it via the common terminal, connecting devices between the input and common terminals. The IC200MDL240 features two groups of eight discrete inputs, providing ample connectivity options for field devices. Power for the module is sourced from the backplane, while intelligent processing is managed by the CPU or NIU. For enhanced usability, the module is equipped with LED indicators that display the on/off state and confirm backplane power presence. Prior to installation, all components should be thoroughly inspected for any damage to prevent complications during operation. Care is also advised during hot insertion to avoid disruption to neighboring modules on the backplane. This module can be mounted vertically without derating; however, applications using 132 VAC do require derating, while those at 120 VAC do not. The module ensures isolation with a user input to logic and frame ground rating of 250 VAC continuous or 1500 VAC for one minute. Input voltage specifications range from 0 to 132 VAC, with a nominal rating of 120 VAC, featuring a maximum on response time of one cycle and off response time of two cycles.
