The IC200MDD844 is a discrete mixed input and output module developed by General Electric as part of the VersaMax series. This high-performance module features a total of 32 input and output points, organized into three groups: one group consisting of 16 outputs and two groups containing eight inputs each. The output points are designed for positive logic operation, providing positive DC voltage to connected loads, while the input points also utilize positive logic, capturing current from attached devices and returning it to the common wire. For advanced functionality, this module can support negative logic and 12-volt output, but requires an upgrade to the IC200MDD844C or later version. The module boasts an input on/off response time of 0.5 milliseconds in its standard configuration. To enhance performance in environments with high interference or switch contact bounce, the IC200MDD844 includes optional input filters that can adjust response time to zero milliseconds, one millisecond, or seven milliseconds, with the default setting being one millisecond. Consequently, when using the default filter, the total input response time reaches 1.5 milliseconds. Operating on a 5V backplane, the module has a maximum current consumption of 70 milliamps, an input impedance of 10 kOhms, and accommodates an input voltage range from 0 to 30 volts. The output voltage ranges between 10.2 to 30 volts, delivering a load current of up to 0.5 amps per point for 30 volts.
