The IC200CPU001 is a versatile CPU belonging to GE's Versamax series, tailored for industrial automation and control applications. This compact module measures 66.8 mm x 128 mm and features two software-configurable serial ports—RS-232 and RS-485—which facilitate SNP and RTU slave or serial I/O operations. The IC200CPU001 includes nonvolatile flash memory for reliable program storage, complemented by battery-backed RAM to ensure data integrity. Upon powering up, the module initiates an auto-configuration process, identifying all installed modules beginning at slot 1 and halting at the first empty slot or faulted module. By default, both ports operate in SNP slave mode and revert to this configuration when the CPU is in Stop mode. Port 1 serves as a boot loader for CPU firmware upgrades, while Port 2 can supply power to external devices requiring 100 mA or less at 5VDC.
