The IC200ALG620 is a VersaMax Analog Input RTD Module designed for industrial automation applications, capable of accepting input from up to four independent RTDs while providing 16-bit resolution. This module uniquely requires no external power supply, as it generates the excitation current for the RTDs based on the configured type. It supports various RTD types, including platinum, nickel/iron, nickel, and copper, accommodating user preferences. The IC200ALG620 features selectable measurement units in tenths of degrees or ohms, along with configurable resistance ranges of 0-500 or 0-3000 ohms for each channel.

Standard functionalities include high/low detection, open wire, under/over range, and input short alarms, enhancing system reliability. The module offers two data acquisition rates tailored for 50 or 60 Hz line frequencies and includes LED indicators that signal normal operation, updates, errors, or loss of power on the backplane. Automatic analog-to-digital calibration occurs at power-up and is repeated periodically to adapt to ambient temperature variations.

The IC200ALG620 interfaces with various PLC CPU and Network Interface Unit (NIU) versions 1.10 or higher. Installation does not require loop power; however, proper grounding is essential and should be managed at the source device or I/O module. Users can configure each channel as either active or inactive, with inactive channels being excluded from scanning and defaulting to a value of zero. Additionally, users can establish alarm limits within or beyond the specified range, ensuring flexibility in monitoring.
