GE Fanuc IC200ALG328

The IC200ALG328 is a 12-channel, 13-bit current analog output module tailored for the GE Fanuc Versamax Series. This module offers a default output range, but it can be easily adjusted via a jumper to accommodate different requirements. All channels necessitate an external power supply, with intelligent processing managed by the CPU or Network Interface Unit for seamless operation. In the event of power loss or communication interruptions, the IC200ALG328 can hold its last output states or revert to default settings through jumper configuration. The module's output characteristics depend on the selected range: in the 0-20 mA mode, a current output of 0 mA corresponds to a %AQ value of 0 counts, while 20 mA aligns with +32,000 counts. Conversely, in the 4-20 mA range, 4 mA corresponds to 0 %AQ counts, and 20 mA relates to +32,000 %AQ counts. Notably, any negative values are adapted to 0 mA when installed in a PLC rack, regardless of the selected output range. Thermal derating considerations are essential, with ambient temperature, external voltage, and module orientation impacting the number of active channels. However, no thermal derating is applicable when operating at 24V. The IC200ALG328 features an update rate of 15 ms, LED indicators for power and operational status, and consumes 50 mA from the +5V bus.
