The IC200ALG230 is a high-performance Analog Input Module from GE Fanuc's VersaMax series, designed to accommodate industrial automation needs. This module supports four single-ended channels, which can be configured to accept either voltage or current inputs. Each channel boasts a resolution of 12 bits, with a default bipolar input voltage range of +/- 10 volts DC and an unipolar option ranging from 0 to 10 volts. In current mode, it operates within a range of 4 to 20 milliamps. The module receives power directly from the embedded backplane, consuming 125 milliamps at 5 volts, eliminating the need for an external power source for operation, though external power is necessary for user transceivers. Status indicators include an OK LED for backplane power and an INT PWR LED for analog field circuit power, with the capability to report any internal power loss. Configuration for voltage or current operation is accomplished using two jumpers located on the carrier terminals, which also allow for bipolar or unipolar mode settings.
