Combining advanced motor control with an intuitive interface for rapid commissioning, the Fuji Electric FRN0040E2S-2GB is a FRENIC-Ace (E2) series general-purpose variable frequency drive (VFD) for 230V three-phase applications rated 15 HP / 40A (Normal Duty / VT) and 10 HP / 33A (Heavy Duty / CT).

The FRENIC-Ace (E2) is engineered for energy-intensive applications where variable-torque loads — fans, pumps, and compressors — represent the greatest opportunity for energy savings. Its optimized V/f energy-saving mode automatically reduces output voltage at partial loads, minimizing motor iron losses and cutting energy consumption by up to 30% compared to fixed-speed operation. For tighter speed regulation, the drive supports dynamic torque vector control without an encoder, delivering improved low-speed torque and better transient response.

Standard features include: built-in PID controller, auto-tuning, 8-step multi-speed operation, DC braking, RS-485 Modbus RTU, coast-to-stop and ramp-to-stop modes, and a comprehensive protection suite. Optional fieldbus cards support PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and CC-Link.
