National Instruments SCXI-1124

The National Instruments SCXI-1124 Analog Output Module (Part Number: 776572-24) is a highly versatile 6-channel isolated module designed for generating static DC voltage or current signals with low bandwidth applications. It features a maximum update rate of 555 samples per second for individual channels and averages 125 samples per second across all six channels. Each of its six channels is equipped with an independently isolated, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), allowing users to configure either voltage or current outputs for each channel. Voltage ranges include three unipolar options (0 to 1 V, 0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V) and three bipolar options (±1 V, ±5 V, ±10 V), while current outputs accommodate a range of 0 to 20 mA per channel.

For enhanced operational flexibility, multiple SCXI-1124 modules can be integrated within an SCXI framework alongside other signal conditioning I/O modules. Each voltage channel is supported by a low-impedance output buffer with the capacity to drive loads up to 5 mA. This module also incorporates a local EEPROM that facilitates the storage of calibration constants, ensuring precise and consistent performance.

The SCXI-1124 operates with NI-DAQmx driver software, ensuring compatibility with various application development environments, including LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio. Communication with the module occurs over the SCXIbus, leveraging a multiplexed serial mode that utilizes a maximum of five digital I/O lines from the DAQ device. The device features a 48-pin DIN C male front connector and a 50-pin male ribbon-cable back connector, with compact physical dimensions of 1.2 x 6.8 x 8.0 inches.
