The Fuji Electric TK80W120Ω is a Braking Resistor (Compact Type) for the FRENIC-Mini (C2) variable frequency drive (VFD). Optimized for space-constrained installations where occasional braking is required.
When a VFD rapidly decelerates a motor, the motor becomes a generator returning energy to the DC bus. Without a braking resistor this regenerative energy causes bus voltage to rise and trip an overvoltage fault. The TK80W120Ω dissipates this energy as heat, enabling fast, repeatable, controlled deceleration.
Essential for hoists, cranes, centrifuges, high-inertia fans and pumps, and winding applications. Install with adequate ventilation. Genuine Fuji Electric OEM accessory.
