Preventative Maintenance

Scheduled inspections, thermal scans, drive and panel health checks, and firmware reviews that catch failing components before they take a line down.

Stay ahead of downtime

Maintenance that pays for itself in avoided stops

Industrial Automation Co. pairs hands-on inspection with the same repair and parts capability that backs our field service — so findings turn into fixed assets, not unread reports.

Catch failures early

Thermal scans, capacitor and fan checks, and connection inspections find problems while they are still cheap to fix.

Planned around your outages

Visits scheduled for shutdowns and low-demand windows — not when the line is at peak throughput.

Firmware & parameter review

Drive and PLC health checks include firmware status and parameter backups so recovery is faster after an event.

Actionable reports

Prioritized findings with recommended repairs, spares, and replacements — not a binder of unread checklists.

Process

How preventative maintenance works

Baseline, inspect, prioritize, and close the loop with repair or replacement.

  1. Baseline the assets

We inventory critical drives, panels, and controls and agree on inspection frequency and pass/fail criteria.

  2. Inspect on schedule

Technicians perform thermal imaging, visual and mechanical checks, cleaning where appropriate, and connection torque verification.

  3. Report & prioritize

You receive a clear list of findings ranked by risk — with quotes for repair, send-in work, or replacement parts.

  4. Fix before failure

Approved work is scheduled through send-in repair, onsite service, or parts replacement before the next unplanned stop.

Preventative maintenance FAQs

Most industrial drive and panel assets benefit from annual or semi-annual visits, with higher frequency on critical or high-dust applications. We will recommend a cadence after the baseline survey.

Scheduled onsite PM is centered on our Raleigh–Richmond corridor coverage. For sites outside that area, we can often align visits with larger projects or recommend a send-in rotation for removable modules.

PM inspects physical health on a schedule. An Asset Analytics & Lifecycle Audit maps obsolescence, spare-parts risk, and replacement strategy across the installed base. Many plants run both.
