Werma

When a machine needs to tell an operator something from across the plant floor, WERMA signal technology is how it does it. WERMA Signaltechnik has built optical and audible signalling devices in Rietheim-Weilheim, Germany since 1950, and the line covers everything from a 22 mm panel indicator to a stacked signal tower visible the length of a production bay.

Industrial Automation Co. stocks the WERMA catalog for North American industry — signal beacons, flashing and rotating lights, sirens, sounders, buzzers, signal towers, mounting adapters and replacement lamps. Every listing carries WERMA's own datasheet, 3D CAD model and installation manual, so you can confirm fit before you order. Browse the collection below, or pair it with our OMRON safety and control and Schneider Electric lines to complete a control panel build.

WERMA Signal Towers, Beacons and Sounders

WERMA Signaltechnik has been building optical and audible signalling devices in Rietheim-Weilheim, Germany since 1950. Its beacons, signal towers, sirens and sounders are the standard way a machine tells an operator that a cycle finished, a hopper ran dry, or a line needs attention right now. Industrial Automation Co. stocks the WERMA range for North American industry — signal beacons and indicator lights, flashing and rotating lights, sirens, sounders, buzzers, signal towers, mounting adapters and replacement lamps. Every product page carries WERMA's own datasheet, 3D CAD model and installation manual, so panel builders and maintenance teams can confirm mounting, voltage and enclosure rating before the part ships. Signalling hardware is inexpensive next to the downtime it prevents — and it is the one component on the machine whose whole job is to be noticed.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our WERMA Products

Specifying a signal device comes down to four things: how it mounts, what voltage it takes, how well it is sealed, and how loud or bright it needs to be. Our WERMA listings publish all four, plus the manufacturer's datasheet and CAD model, on every product page. We stock automation hardware from OMRON, Schneider Electric, FANUC and more, so a signal tower and the controller driving it can ship on the same order. Here are the questions we field most often.

What IP Rating Do I Need for a WERMA Beacon? expand

Our WERMA stock spans IP30 through IP66/IP69K. IP65 is the most common rating in the line and suits general indoor and covered outdoor machine mounting. Choose IP66 for direct hose-down or heavy dust, and the IP69K-rated units for the high-pressure, high-temperature washdown found in food and beverage plants.

Are WERMA Devices UL Listed for North American Panels? expand

Most of the range is. Of the WERMA products we hold full compliance data for, 205 carry UL listing, and 190 of those are rated UL Type 12 for dust-tight and drip-tight enclosure duty, with a smaller group rated Type 4X for corrosion and washdown service. CE, RoHS and WEEE apply across the line.

What Supply Voltages and Sound Levels Are Available? expand

Supply voltages run from 12 V to 230 V, with 24 V the most common and much of the range accepting AC or DC on the same terminals. Wide-range 12-230 V and 115-230 V units are also stocked. On the audible side, sounders and sirens produce 80 to 120 dB(A) at 1 metre, and multi-tone models offer selectable tone sets of 2, 8, 10, 32 or up to 42 tones.

Can I Replace Just the Lamp or Mounting Instead of the Whole Beacon? expand

Often, yes. We stock WERMA replacement lamps and bulbs alongside mounting adapters, brackets and bases, so a failed lamp or a change from base mount to pipe or wall mount does not always mean buying a new device. Match the bulb base and the housing series before ordering, and check the datasheet on the product page if you are unsure.

Do WERMA Parts Qualify for Two-Day Shipping? expand

Yes. The heaviest item in this line weighs under 5 lbs, so every WERMA product we stock falls inside our under-20 lbs two-day shipping window within the continental United States. For expedited emergency shipping, please contact us and we may be able to coordinate same-day courier service for your parts.

How Do I Request a Quote on WERMA Products? expand

We have several ways to request a quote on our industrial replacement parts. Click the Request Quote button on any WERMA product you would like to order. You can also contact us by email or phone to receive a quote on one or more of our industrial automation products. During business hours, we generally provide quotes in ten minutes or less.

How Do I Place My Order for WERMA Products? expand

Place an order for WERMA signal devices by calling our toll-free number at 1-877-PARTS-57 (727-8757). You may also send purchase orders online by emailing us at sales@industrialautomationco.com. We recommend calling us to get quotes and shipping information on your parts for all first-time orders.

Our WERMA Product Categories

WERMA organises its range by housing series — the KS40, KS50, KS70, KS71 and KS72 families, the wall-mount and base-mount WM and BM housings, and the Mini, Micro and Maxi formats — so a beacon, a sounder and a combination unit can share the same mounting footprint on a machine. Our stocked WERMA categories include:

  • Signal Beacons & Indicator Lights
  • Signal Towers
  • Sirens & Sounders
  • Buzzers & Audible Signals
  • Combination Light and Sound Units
  • Mounting Adapters, Brackets & Bases
  • Replacement Lamps & Bulbs
  • Cables & Connectors
