The Modutrol IV Motor with Spring Return is a robust industrial component from Honeywell with a 60 in-lb. torque rating. It operates on a diverse range of voltages, including 24V, 120V, and 230V, with a power consumption capacity of 20 VA. Designed for two-position operations utilizing single pole, single throw (SPST) technology, this motor also includes a transformer.

One of the key features of the Modutrol IV Motor is its capability to maintain fixed torque across the entire voltage range. It provides the flexibility to operate valve linkages from either the power end or auxiliary end shafts, enabling optimal functionality in both normally closed and normally open valve applications.

Further enhancing its versatility, all models of this motor are equipped with dual shafts that are both slotted and tapped on both ends. An integral spring return mechanism ensures the motor returns to its normal operational state once power is restored after an interruption.

Furthermore, this motor comes with an integral junction box, providing NEMA 3 weather protection as long as the motor is mounted in the upright position. Operating from 24 VAC, this motor and its circuitry employ Quick-Connect terminals as standard, with a screw terminal adapter also available.

Additionally, the Modutrol IV Motor has a field-adjustable stroke ranging from 90 to 160 degrees. Designed to suit either normally open or normally closed valves and dampers, the motors can be fitted with integral auxiliary switches factory-mounted, or they can be added in the field.

Operating under conditions ranging from -40 F to 150 F (-40 C to 60 C), this motor uses Quick Connect terminals as its electrical connection. It also features an auxiliary switch. An adapter bracket can also be supplied to match the shaft height of older motors.
