A stack light is four parts. Choose them in this order.
1
Mounting base
Base, wall or tube mount, in the same series as the elements. WERMA does not publish cross-series compatibility, so keep one series per tower.
2
Light and sound elements
Up to five tiers on KombiSIGN 40 and 72: steady, flashing, EVS or rotating light, plus a siren or buzzer element. Red on top, then yellow, then green is the usual order.
3
Terminal element
Closes the stack and takes the control voltage: 24V AC/DC, 115V AC or 230V AC, with cable or M12 options.
4
Connection & spares
Cable or M12 plug, cap and spare bulbs. Send us the machine signal list and we will quote the full tower.

Stack light colours
What each colour means on a machine (IEC 60204-1).
Red · emergency
Dangerous condition or fault. Act immediately.
Yellow · abnormal
Warning: an operator should check soon.
Green · normal
Machine running as intended.
Blue · mandatory
An operator must act, for example reload or reset.

Straight answers on series, colours, voltage and ordering.
What IP Rating Do I Need for a WERMA Beacon?
Our WERMA stock spans IP30 through IP66/IP69K. IP65 is the most common rating in the line and suits general indoor and covered outdoor machine mounting. Choose IP66 for direct hose-down or heavy dust, and the IP69K-rated units for the high-pressure, high-temperature washdown found in food and beverage plants.
Are WERMA Devices UL Listed for North American Panels?
Most of the range is. Of the WERMA products we hold full compliance data for, 205 carry UL listing, and 190 of those are rated UL Type 12 for dust-tight and drip-tight enclosure duty, with a smaller group rated Type 4X for corrosion and washdown service. CE, RoHS and WEEE apply across the line.
What Supply Voltages and Sound Levels Are Available?
Supply voltages run from 12 V to 230 V, with 24 V the most common and much of the range accepting AC or DC on the same terminals. Wide-range 12-230 V and 115-230 V units are also stocked. On the audible side, sounders and sirens produce 80 to 120 dB(A) at 1 meter, and multi-tone models offer selectable tone sets of 2, 8, 10, 32 or up to 42 tones.
Can I Replace Just the Lamp or Mounting Instead of the Whole Beacon?
Often, yes. We stock WERMA replacement lamps and bulbs alongside mounting adapters, brackets and bases, so a failed lamp or a change from base mount to pipe or wall mount does not always mean buying a new device. Match the bulb base and the housing series before ordering, and check the datasheet on the product page if you are unsure.
Do WERMA Parts Qualify for Two-Day Shipping?
In-stock parts do. Every WERMA product we carry weighs under 5 lbs, so in-stock orders fall inside our under-20 lbs two-day shipping window within the continental United States. For parts that are not in stock, we quote the lead time before you commit. For an urgent need on an in-stock part, contact us and we may be able to coordinate same-day courier service.
How Do I Request a Quote on WERMA Products?

You can also contact us by email or phone to receive a quote on one or more of our industrial automation products. During business hours, we generally provide quotes in ten minutes or less.
