The National Instruments PXI-2584 is a high-performance PXI Multiplexer Switch Module designed for demanding high-voltage applications. This 12-channel, 1-Wire switch module utilizes reed relays, providing a typical relay operating time of 0.4 ms and ensuring a mechanical relay life of up to 300 million cycles. The PXI-2584 supports various configurations, including a 1-Wire 12 x 1 multiplexer, a 2-Wire 6 x 1 multiplexer, dual 6 x 1 multiplexers, and a 2-Wire 11 x 1 interleaved multiplexer, enabling complex measurement setups across hundreds of channels. With a switch bandwidth of 900 kHz and a maximum scan rate of 600 channels per second, it is adept at efficiently routing ATE loads as well as high-voltage, low-current signals, backed by a CAT II certification at 300 V and 600 V CAT I channel-to-ground isolation. Trigger signal handling is facilitated through PXI trigger lines <0...7>, with a minimum pulse width acceptance of 150 ns and a programmable output range of 1 µs to 62 µs. Power efficiency is noted with a consumption of just 1.6 W at 5 V. The PXI-2584 is compact and lightweight, measuring 8.5 x 0.8 x 5.1 inches and weighing 7.5 ounces, with operable temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C and a storage temperature range from -20 °C to 70 °C.
