The Honeywell Modutrol IV Motor is a non-spring return system boasting a torque rating of 150 in-lb. and a power consumption of 15 VA. It operates on a modulating, 4-20 mA control signal and can handle voltages of 24/120/230V. Included with the motor is a transformer adding to its functionality and ease-of-use.

This motor comes complete with an integral junction box that provides NEMA 3 weather protection, ensuring reliable operation in harsh weather conditions, as long as the motor is mounted upright. The adjustable start (zero) and span models add to the versatility and adaptability of this motor.

Designed for normally open or normally closed valves and dampers, this motor has the added feature of an integral spring that reverts it back to its normal state when a power failure occurs, specifically in spring return models. Its function and circuitry rely on a 24 VAC.

The Modutrol IV Motor boasts quick-connect terminals as a standard feature, though a screw terminal adapter is also available. An adapter bracket raises the shaft height equivalent to older models, if needed. Other remarkable features include a field-adjustable stroke that ranges from 90-160 degrees, and dual shafts that are both slotted and tapped on all ends.

Equally noteworthy is the fixed torque which maintains stability across the entire voltage range. The Modutrol IV Motor also comes with the option for integral auxiliary switches. These switches can either be factory-mounted or added in the field.

The motor operates in temperatures ranging between -40 F to 150 F (-40 C to 60 C). Its component-specificity is maintained via screw terminals and its casing is made of robust die-cast aluminum, sustaining its durability. The motor system comprises of two auxiliary switch cams to facilitate functionality and user interface.
