The National Instruments USRP-2944 is an advanced Software Defined Radio (SDR) device designed to deliver optimized RF performance across a frequency range of 10 MHz to 6 GHz. It features two input channels and two output channels, facilitating seamless communication through MXIe and Ethernet interfaces. The back panel is equipped with dual SFP+ ports, allowing for 10 Gigabit or 1 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to a host computer. Additionally, the device includes an FPGA-controlled auxiliary I/O port for general-purpose applications, along with a JTAG connector that supports recovery functions and can be used with the Xilinx iMPACT utility for temporary bitfile loading.
The USRP-2944 also has a PCIe x4 port that enables an x4 bus link via MXI-Express connections, enhancing data throughput capabilities. Users can connect a GPS antenna for improved time synchronization, while the device’s RF signal inputs comprise two SMA female RF connectors for each terminal (RF 0 & RF 1), supporting flexible single-ended input or output configurations. To operate, the USRP-2944 requires an external power supply with a voltage range of 9 to 16 VDC. The REF IN and REF OUT terminals provide single-ended reference signal capabilities, with REF IN designed to accept a 10 MHz signal at a minimum power of 0 dBm. This compact unit measures 10.5 inches by 1.6 inches by 8.6 inches and weighs 3.50 pounds, and it is backed by a warranty of 2 to 3 years. Comprehensive user documentation is readily available for download. For pricing inquiries, please contact a National Instruments sales representative.
