The Smart E Tech SET-1215 SLSC RTD Simulation Module (Part Number: 787759-01) is an advanced solution for simulating Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), automotive, and aerospace applications. This module features 16 galvanically isolated channels, each capable of simulating resistance values ranging from 90Ω to 4100Ω with an accuracy of ±1°C. The channels can be configured for both 2- and 4-terminal sensor systems, and are capable of replicating typical open and short-circuit scenarios, enhancing testing versatility. The simulation module supports customizable resolution settings for PT100 or PT1000.

To facilitate adaptability, the SET-1215 includes two plug-in module slots that enable straightforward integration with additional features such as instrument connection and line fault insertion. Status indicators are provided via two LEDs, offering immediate feedback on power and readiness. A solid green Power LED indicates optimal operating conditions, while a blinking red LED signifies potential issues with the fuse or plug-in module. The Ready LED indicates communication status with the chassis, displaying amber during communication and solid green once recognition is established.

Designed for robust performance in a variety of environmental conditions, the SET-1215 operates effectively at altitudes up to 2,000 meters and under forced-air cooling within a temperature range of 0 to 40 °C. The device can withstand relative humidity levels from 10% to 90% during operation, and offers an extensive storage temperature range from -40 °C to 85 °C, with non-condensing humidity up to 95%. The module dimensions are 144.32 mm x 30.48 mm x 302 mm (excluding ejector), ensuring a compact footprint for integration into various systems. The SET-1215 is backed by a 2-3 year warranty, reflecting the manufacturer's commitment to quality and reliability.
