National Instruments SCXI-1000DC

The National Instruments SCXI-1000DC is a robust DC chassis designed specifically for SCXI applications. This model features four slots and provides low noise performance, making it ideal for sensitive signal conditioning tasks. The SCXI-1000DC not only supplies power to SCXI modules but also manages all trigger, timing, and signal routing functions. For applications requiring a high channel count, users can daisy chain up to eight SCXI-1000DC chassis using a single multifunction I/O module or device. The chassis operates with a range of input voltages from 9.6 to 16 VDC, and it can also be powered from an AC outlet with the optional SCXI-1383 float charger/power supply. It incorporates shielded enclosures and a forced air cooling system to maintain an optimal operating environment. The architectural design includes three internal analog buses for enhanced signal integrity, and it features an SCXIbus to facilitate communication between installed modules. The chassis control circuitry ensures precise signal routing and synchronization with connected data acquisition devices. Configurable for 32 addresses, the SCXI-1000DC allows multiple chassis to be connected to a single control source. Address selection is achieved through three jumpers located behind the front panel at slot #0, and a Reset button is provided to reinitialize the configuration. Although the SCXI-1000DC has been designated as End of Life by National Instruments, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
