National Instruments SC-2071

The National Instruments SC-2071 Termination Breadboard is a versatile and essential tool designed to complement NI Data Acquisition (DAQ) boards. Part of the SC-207x Series, this general-purpose printed circuit board is compatible with a variety of computer systems, including Macintosh II, IBM PC/XT/AT, and Personal System/2 computers. The SC-2071 features two 50-pin I/O connectors and works seamlessly with 50-conductor NB1 and PR50-50F cables, depending on the connected DAQ device. This board supports up to eight differential and sixteen single-ended analog input channels, offering a dedicated section for constructing a wide array of analog, digital, and timing circuits.

Integral to its design, the SC-2071 provides a centralized location for combining multiple analog input signals, including provisions for thermocouple compensation, splitters, and filters. It is equipped to accommodate a maximum of seven thermocouple connections, along with eight signal-labeled screw terminals for straightforward connectivity to Lab/1200 Series DAQ devices. The board also includes an onboard temperature sensor with an accuracy of ±0.5° C from 0° to 110° C, designed to facilitate cold-junction adjustment for thermocouples via a jumper on differential channel 0.

The SC-2071 is designed to deliver +5 V and DGND on dual bus strips, ensuring stable operation for connected components. Although the SC-2071 has been designated as obsolete by National Instruments, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
