The National Instruments PXI-6233 is a high-performance PXI Multifunction I/O Module designed for versatile industrial applications. This module features 16 analog input channels with support for single-ended and differential configurations, alongside 2 analog output channels, 4 sinking digital outputs, and 6 digital inputs. Its built-in functionality includes two 32-bit counters and various analog input ground-reference settings, including Differential (DIFF), Single-Ended (RSE), and Non-Referenced Single-Ended (NRSE) modes. With DIFF mode, the PXI-6233 measures voltage differences between two AI signals; in RSE mode, it measures the voltage relative to an isolated AI ground; and NRSE mode operates similarly to RSE.
The PXI-6233 is equipped with a 37-pin DSUB connector for robust data connectivity and supports three types of analog input triggering: pause trigger, start trigger, and reference trigger. An integrated timing engine enhances performance, providing 10 programmable function interface (PFI) signals, which can be configured for various digital and timing functions, including counter and timer operations. This module ensures excellent protection against overvoltage conditions across all digital input, digital output, and PFI signals, and features a programmable power-up state to define the initial digital output line state.
Designed specifically for indoor use, the PXI-6233 measures as a standard 3U PXI module and has a weight of 5.0 oz (142 g). It operates within a temperature range of 0 ºC to 55 ºC and a storage temperature range of -40 ºC to 70 ºC, with noncondensing humidity ratings of 10% to 90% during operation and 5% to 95% during storage. Although the PXI-6233 is now obsolete and no longer available directly from National Instruments, Apex Waves continues to support the buying, selling, and repairing of this essential hardware.
