National Instruments PXI-5441

The National Instruments PXI-5441 is a high-performance PXI waveform generator that excels in delivering precision waveform generation and manipulation capabilities. With a maximum sample clock rate of 100 MS/s and a precise bandwidth of 43 MHz, the PXI-5441 leverages advanced onboard signal processing (OSP) through an onboard FPGA, allowing users to efficiently extend waveform playback duration while minimizing memory requirements. This device supports a wide range of waveforms, including sine, square (up to 25 MHz), triangle, and ramp (up to 5 MHz), making it a versatile tool for various applications. The waveform generator comes in three configurations with varying onboard memory sizes: 32 MB, 256 MB, and 512 MB, providing flexibility to meet different operational needs.

Equipped with a Synchronization and Memory Core (SMC) architecture, the PXI-5441 can be synchronized with digitizers and digital waveform generator/analyzers, allowing users to create intricate mixed-signal test setups. Additionally, users can interconnect multiple PXI-5441 units to form a phase-coherent multi-channel generator for effective I/Q signal generation. The front panel includes four SMB jack connectors and a 68-pin VHDCI connector dedicated to digital data and control, along with status indicators such as ACCESS and ACTIVE LEDs.

The PXI-5441 operates effectively within a temperature range of 0 to 55 ºC when standalone, and 0 to 45 ºC when used in a PXI-101x or PXI-1000B chassis. Weighing 345 g (12.1 oz) and measuring 21.6 × 2.0 × 13.0 cm (8.5 × 0.8 × 5.1 in.), the PXI-5441 is compact yet powerful.
