National Instruments PXI-2512

The National Instruments PXI-2512 is a high-performance 10 A, 7-channel Signal Insertion Switch Module engineered for electronic reliability testing and hardware-in-loop (HIL) applications. This module features advanced circuitry that detects overcurrent and over-temperature conditions, with an overcurrent detection limit of 10.5 A and a delay time of 20 ms. The PXI-2512 is equipped with dual DSUB, 8-position male front panel connectors, and includes two DB8F-40A cables, facilitating connection to both 8-pin DSUB and bare wire configurations. It supports a maximum switching voltage of 50 VDC and 30 V ACrms, along with a maximum switching current of 10 A and a pulse current limit of 50 A for up to 600 microseconds. The module also features feedthrough channels that allow users to simulate various scenarios, including short-circuits to battery voltages and interrupted connections on a per-channel basis. Weighing approximately 403 g (14.2 oz) and conforming to a 3U, two-slot PXI form factor, the PXI-2512 measures 21.6 cm × 4.1 cm × 13.0 cm. The module operates at 3.3 V with a power consumption of 1.0 Watts and at 5 V with 13.0 Watts.
