National Instruments PXI-1045

The National Instruments PXI-1045 is a high-performance PXI chassis designed for a wide range of applications, including automated testing and systems requiring extensive device synchronization. With a robust 18-slot configuration, this CompactPCI-compatible chassis supports high-channel-count systems and ensures efficient trigger routing through its backplane. The PXI-1045 features a low-jitter 10 MHz reference clock available at each peripheral slot, facilitating precise synchronization with a skew of less than 250 ps between slots for advanced phase-related measurements. This chassis achieves a maximum system bandwidth of 132 MB/s and includes two BNC I/O connectors for importing and exporting reference clocks.

The PXI-1045 operates with NI PXI chassis software, easily manage your configuration using the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool, which eliminates the need for manual file installations and allows for the seamless saving of trigger lines on the backplane. Cooling is handled by three fans that provide 25 W of capacity per slot, adjustable via an AUTO/HIGH fan-speed selector that optimizes acoustics and thermal performance based on air intake temperatures. The chassis utilizes an AC power supply, replaceable with NI part number 778647-01, and has a weight of 27.8 lb, with dimensions of 6.97 x 17.54 x 17.12 inches.

The PXI-1045 is classified as obsolete and is no longer available directly from National Instruments; however, it remains purchasable and repairable through Apex Waves.
