The National Instruments PCI-6541 is a high-performance digital waveform generator and analyzer, engineered for demanding digital applications requiring precision and speed. This device operates at a sample clock frequency of 50 MHz and features 32 channels, each with independent direction control, providing users with flexible waveform generation capabilities. The PCI-6541 incorporates deep onboard memory using Synchronization and Memory Core (SMC) technology, which facilitates advanced triggering and pattern sequencing, making it suitable for a variety of testing scenarios.

Available onboard memory options of 1 Mbit, 8 Mbit, and 64 Mbit per channel ensure that users can select a configuration that best meets their requirements. Furthermore, the device supports data delay adjustments for frequencies of 25 MHz and above, with a resolution of 1/256 of the sample clock period. The PCI-6541 connects via a 68-pin VHDCI I/O connector and requires multiple voltages (+3.3 VDC, +5 VDC, +12 VDC, -12 VDC) for operation, with a total power dissipation of 15 W.
