The National Instruments PCI-6517 Digital I/O Device (Part Number: 779083-01) offers robust performance with 32 sink output lines that utilize bank isolation and can handle a maximum switching voltage of ±30 VDC. The device features a 37-pin male D-SUB I/O connector and incorporates digital I/O watchdogs, which monitor for errors in the application or computer system, including PCI bus failures and software crashes. In the event of a fault, the device automatically transitions its outputs to a safe recovery state. Additionally, the change detection feature efficiently triggers applications and provides I/O information upon digital events while minimizing processor load. Programmable input filters enhance reliability by eliminating glitches and noise.

The PCI-6517 measures 5.54 x 4.47 inches and weighs 2.5 ounces, with recommended operating and storage temperature ranges from 0 °C to 55 °C and –20 °C to 70 °C, along with humidity levels of 10% to 90% RH and 5% to 95% RH (non-condensing).
