National Instruments NI-9231

The National Instruments NI-9231 is a high-performance Sound and Vibration Input Module designed for integration within the C Series platform. This module features eight differential analog input channels, providing a maximum sample rate of 51.2 kS/s per channel and a ±5 V input range with 24-bit resolution. The NI-9231 effectively accommodates both IEPE and non-IEPE sensors, including proximity probes, tachometers, and accelerometers, enabling versatile signal measurement. An integrated 2 mA excitation source eliminates the need for an external power supply, allowing for seamless sensor operation. The module incorporates built-in, self-adjusting anti-aliasing filters to optimize sampling rates automatically, and leverages a Delta-Sigma type ADC for simultaneous data acquisition.

With an N-Type Coaxial front connector, the NI-9231 maintains ease of connectivity and is designed for robust performance across a wide temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C.
