The National Instruments NI-9210 is a C Series Temperature Input Module designed for precise thermocouple measurements. Available in two configurations, the part number 784788-01 features 60 Vrms channel-to-earth ground isolation with a Miniature Thermocouple (mini-TC) front connector, while part number 785043-01 offers 250 Vrms channel-to-earth ground isolation with a Spring Terminal front connector. This module is compatible with CompactDAQ and CompactRIO systems and delivers NIST-traceable calibration, ensuring reliable measurement accuracy.

The NI-9210 provides four differential analog input channels, utilizing a 24-bit Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that supports a scanned sampling mode with a maximum sample rate of 14 samples per second. Measurement inputs can accept both thermocouples and RTDs, supporting all standard thermocouple types. The module has a voltage range capability of up to +80 mV, with a conversion time of 70 milliseconds per channel. Low-frequency noise, particularly 50/60 Hz interference, is effectively filtered, achieving a minimum noise rejection of 85 dB. Additionally, the input circuitry is designed with dual isolation barriers for enhanced safety and noise immunity, along with overvoltage protection up to +30 V.

To further enhance measurement reliability, the NI-9210 includes two internal channels for auto-zeroing and cold junction compensation, with optional auto-zero functionality. The module operates with a maximum power consumption of 200 mW in active mode and reduces to 10 mW in sleep mode. Weighing 5.40 oz with the Mini-TC connector and 5.71 oz with the Spring Terminal connector, the NI-9210 also comes with a comprehensive 2-3 year warranty.
