The National Instruments HDD-8261 is a high-performance PXI Data Storage Module designed to enhance data acquisition and processing applications. Available in two configurations, this module supports either four or six 2.5-inch mechanical or solid-state drives, enabling flexibility in storage options and performance capabilities. The HDD-8261 features a software-based RAID array that can be set up as spanned, striped, or simple, accommodating various data management needs.

With a width of 3 slots, the HDD-8261 is engineered for compatibility with PXI Express chassis, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems. The four-drive configuration achieves a sustained throughput of up to 250 MB/s, while the six-drive setup can deliver impressive performance with a maximum throughput of 2 GB/s and a total storage capacity of 2.9 TB.
