The National Instruments 780587-31, also known as the PXIe-2531, is a high-density 512-crosspoint, 1-wire matrix switch module designed for demanding automated test systems requiring extensive channel counts. This module offers the flexibility of configuration as either a 4 × 128 or 8 × 64 matrix, making it suitable for a variety of applications. It incorporates compact, high-speed reed relays capable of switching speeds up to 2,000 cycles per second, ideal for low-current, high-speed tasks. The 780587-31 module supports a maximum switching voltage of 60 VDC or 30 VAC RMS, offering a maximum current of 0.5 A per channel, with each channel capable of handling up to 10 W of power.

This module features onboard relay counting for monitoring relay usage and includes hardware triggers to enhance operational efficiency.
