The National Instruments 777742-01, also referred to as the PCI-6023, is a versatile multifunction I/O device designed for diverse applications, including research, manufacturing tests, design verification, and laboratory automation. This device features 16 analog inputs offering 12-bit resolution and a sampling rate of 200 kS/s, alongside eight digital I/O lines and two 24-bit counters, enhancing its measurement capabilities for high-voltage and sensor integration. It supports multiple input configurations, including differential (DIFF), referenced single-ended (RSE), and nonreferenced single-ended (NRSE), accommodating up to eight differential channels or sixteen single-ended channels. The 777742-01 enables multimode scanning with programmable channels, allowing combinations of differential and single-ended inputs for advanced applications. Each digital I/O line (DIO<0..7>) can be individually configured for input or output via software, with a default high-impedance state upon startup. For precise timing in analog input, analog output, and counter/timer operations, the device utilizes the National Instruments DAQ-STC system timing controller, achieving a timing resolution of 50 ns. The RTSI bus ensures synchronization across various measurement functionalities, allowing for the connection of up to five DAQ devices in PCI systems and seven in PXI systems through trigger signals on the PXI backplane.
