The Honeywell Spyder 10 IO is a programmable and unitary control system encompassing an array of features that include real-time clock, Sylk bus, and the use of Echelon LonWorks Network Protocol for enhanced communication. This system also provides built-in zone control functions, inclusive of a remote wall module interface and scheduler. Certain models such as the PVL0000AS, PVL4022AS, PVL6436AS, PVL4024NS, and PVL6438NS even offer a microbridge air flow sensor with dual integral restrictor design.
One unique aspect of this control system is it enables easy user access to air flow sensor inputs. For specified models like the PVL0000AS, PVL4022AS, and PVL6436AS, there is a directly mountable actuator onto the VAV box damper shaft, delivering up to 44 lb-in torque, 90-degree stroke, and timing of 90 seconds at 60Hz.
The design of the Honeywell Spyder 10 IO facilitates the wiring connections to be made to removable terminal blocks, thereby simplifying the process of installation and replacement of the controller. The controller housing and actuator are both UL plenum rated, ensuring high standard and safety for use.
Technological features include a high-speed 78 kilobit free topology transceiver (FTT) communications network, providing substantial control and input-output functions using NIAGARA FRAMEWORK Software. Its standout function, the Sylk bus, is designed specifically for use with Sylk-enabled sensors. Moreover, this control system is configurable for up to 101 controllers per Q7751A,B router when functioning as a repeater.
Although capable of stand-alone operation, the Honeywell Spyder 10 IO can also utilize LonWorks Bus Network Communications for greater networking capabilities. With user-defined network variables and function block engine, the control system allows application designers to program the controller to perform a wide array of HVAC applications.
Equipped with real-time safety features like a significant event notification, periodic update capability, and failure detect (FD), it offers greater protection against network inputs failing to be detected within their configurable time frame.
Compliant with UL/cUL (E87741) standards and listed under UL916 standards for Open Energy Management Equipment, it operates efficiently under temperatures ranging from -40F to 150F with a power requirement of 24 VAC within the valid range of 20 to 30 VAC. Suitable for a wide range of applications including fan coils, heat pumps, and unit heaters, it is designed for DIN rail mounting.
