Honeywell Modutrol IV Motor, Spring Return - M4185B1009/U

This is a mechanical unit characterized by a torque rating of 60 in-lb. This motor operates optimally on a power supply of 120V, consuming 20 VA. The Modutrol IV Motor has been designed to maintain a consistent level of torque across the entire voltage range. It allows for versatile function as it can control valve linkages from either the power end or auxiliary end shafts, making it suitable for normally closed or normally open valve applications.

This motor features dual shafts that are slotted and tapped on both ends, ensuring optimum adaptability and functioning. Designed with an integral spring return, the motor can return to its normal position once power supply is interrupted. There is a built-in junction box that provides NEMA 3 weather protection when the motor is mounted in the upright position.

With the motor and circuitry operating from 24 VAC, the Modutrol IV Motor uses quick-connect terminals as a standard, but it can also be fitted with a screw terminal adapter. An adapter bracket is readily available to match the shaft height of older motors.

A highlight of this motor lies in its field-adjustable stroke, ranging between 90 to 160 degrees. It is crafted to function with either normally open or normally closed valves and dampers. Furthermore, integral auxiliary switches can be attached as a factory fit or added in the field. It can maintain optimal operating conditions from -40 F to 150 F (-40 C to 60 C). Moreover, it comes with one auxiliary switch as a part of its technical specifications.
