The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 8-inch device designed with flanges for secured connection. The device features a Cv of 1081 at a 60-degree stroke, and a Cv of 3316 at a 90-degree stroke, asserting its efficiency at different operational dynamics. Its body is constructed from a polyester-coated cast iron that offers protection against various weather conditions, chemicals, ultraviolet rays, scratches, and potential impacts. The seat is fashioned from peroxide-cured EPDM to ensure resilience and durability, and the stem is composed of 416 stainless steel.
The valve is available in a range of sizes extending from 2 inches up to 20 inches and is compatible with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It has an extended neck to accommodate 2 inches of pipe insulation and features a bi-directional flow for versatile use. The disks of the valve are coated in Nylon 11 and constructed from cast iron, resulting in effective corrosion resistance, friction reduction and enabling the application of lower-torque actuators with larger valves' body sizes.
The valve stem is specifically designed with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection and bears no points for corrosion access. The valve guarantees a bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
It is fit for service with both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, offering an equal percentage flow characteristic. The working temperature range for the valve extends from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and it can sustain a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi.
