The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 8-inch industrial control device with unique design characteristics for effective functionality. It is flanged and exhibits a Cv of 1081 at a 60-degree stroke and 3316 at a 90-degree stroke. The body of the valve is made from a polyester coated cast iron for enhanced resilience and the seat is constructed of peroxide cured EPDM, which guarantees structural integrity. The valve features a 416 stainless steel stem for durability and resistance to corrosion.
The line ranges in size from 2 to 20 inches and is designed with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It supports bi-directional flow and has an extended neck that allows for 2 inches of pipe insulation, thus reducing heat loss. The valve features nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks for corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and utilization of lower-torque actuators with larger valves body sizes.
The cast iron valve body is coated with polyester to shield against weathering, chemical exposure, ultra-violet radiation, abrasion, and impact. A stainless steel valve stem is incorporated, featuring a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection that eliminates potential corrosion access points. The valve ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off for efficient operation.
The device is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, showcasing an equal percentage flow characteristic. Built to withstand harsh conditions, the valve operates at a temperature range of -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C) and can handle a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi. The robust design and innovative features make the Honeywell Butterfly Valve an ideal choice for superior control in industrial applications.
