The Butterfly Valve, 2 Way, 6 inches, features a flanged design, with a Cv of 567 at a 60-degree stroke and 1850 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. Its body is constructed of polyester-coated cast iron for durability and resistance to weather, chemical corrosion, ultraviolet rays, abrasion, and impact. The resilient seat of the valve is crafted from peroxide-cured EPDM and utilizes a 416 stainless steel stem.
The valve is available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches and is compatible with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It facilitates bi-directional flow with an extended neck that accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. For improved corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and the utilization of lower-torque actuators with larger valves' body sizes, the discs are made of nylon 11 coated, cast iron.
Furthermore, the stainless steel valve stem features a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, leaving no points for corrosion access. The valve ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
In terms of technical specifications, it is designed specifically for service with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. The flow characteristic of the valve is equal percentage, and it is capable of operating effectively within a temperature range of -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 121 degrees Celsius). Lastly, the valve can manage a close-off pressure of 175 psi.
