The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 6-inch valve featuring a flanged style, with an impressive flow coefficient of 567 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and an even greater 1850 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. The polyester-coated cast-iron body ensures increased durability and protection from weather, chemicals, ultraviolet radiation, abrasions, and impacts. The valve's resilient seat is comprised of peroxide-cured EPDM material, which provides additional resilience and endurance.
Designed with a 416 stainless steel stem, the butterfly valve exhibits excellent corrosion resistance. The tightness and precision of the valve stem's internal double-D disk connection doesn't allow any points for potential corrosion. This product lives up to the Honeywell reputation for exceptional regulation with its bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off.
The butterfly valve ranges in size from 2 to 20 inches and is compatible with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It offers bi-directional flow and comes with an extended neck that accommodates up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. The disks, made from nylon 11 coated cast iron, are designed to resist corrosion, lower friction, and operate with larger valve body sizes using lower-torque actuators.
This unit is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It utilizes an equal percentage flow characteristic to maintain operational effectiveness. Notably, the butterfly valve is capable of operating within a wide temperature range, from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C) and can withstand a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi.
