The Honeywell Butterfly Valve, a 2-Way, 6 inch component, is designed with a flanged, polyester-coated cast iron body that withstands weather, chemicals, UV radiation, abrasion, and impact damage. Benefiting from a Cv of 567 at a 60-degree stroke and 1850 at a 90-degree stroke, this valve also features a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem.
Engineered to accommodate sizes from 2 to 20 inches, the Butterfly Valve has ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, facilitating bi-directional flow. A key consideration in its design is an extended neck that accommodates up to 2 inches of pipe insulation.
For enhanced longevity and smooth operation, the Butterfly Valve comes with corrosion-resistant Cast Iron disks coated with Nylon 11, thus reducing friction and enabling the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes. Its stainless steel valve stem has a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection with no points for potential corrosion access, ensuring extended lifespan.
For service applicability, this valve is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It exhibits an equal percentage flow characteristic, with an operating temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). Its maximum close-off pressure is rated at 175 psi. Importantly, the Honeywell Butterfly valve maintains bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off for optimal operation and performance.
